What makes a great custom medals.
Medals are first cousins to challenge coins — same brass and zinc-alloy stock, same striking and casting lines — but bigger, often 3D-sculpted, and finished with a neck ribbon. For races and tournaments the gold/silver/bronze trio is struck from one die and simply plated three ways, so a podium set costs no more in tooling than a single design.
Most sports and race buyers choose zinc-alloy because it casts deep 3D relief crisply — runners, athletes, mascots and year dates all render sharply. Add soft or hard enamel for team colors, or leave it as antique relief for a classic medal look. Spinning centers, cut-outs and custom edge shapes are all possible.
The neck ribbon is half the product. We print full-color dye-sublimated ribbons edge to edge (logos, sponsor names, event art) or weave the design in for a premium textured finish. Send your artwork, size and quantity and we’ll quote within 12 hours; your die is archived 5 years for color-identical reorders.
