First-time buyers often focus on artwork and plating names, then get surprised by the costs and delays outside the quoted unit price: tooling, sample courier, proof revisions, retail-pack assembly, import duty, brokerage, and volumetric freight. In custom pins, every approval loop usually adds 2-4 calendar days. One vague production point—such as unspecified thickness, post placement, or card packing—can turn an apparently competitive quote into a late or inconsistent shipment.
The safest first import is rarely the absolute cheapest quote. It is the order with the fewest uncontrolled variables between approved proof and delivered cartons. For enamel pins, lock the exact size, thickness, metal process, plating, line width, number of posts, post position, clutch type, back finish, packaging method, and inspection standard before production starts.
