That is why a low first quote can be misleading. A 500-piece order quoted at USD 0.48 FOB appears to cost only USD 240. Lead time is misread the same way. Factory production does not begin when the RFQ is sent. It begins after vector artwork is approved, Pantone references are confirmed, pin dimensions and post locations are signed off, packaging dielines are frozen, and the deposit is received.
